Another attack has been made on the industry of online casinos and this time around it comes from a counselor who works for ACCORD, a Catholic organization that is based out of Ireland. The counselor, John Farrelly, works to help and support wedded couples and tries to help them make their marriages successful. He has indicated that through his work, he has found that unregulated online casino sites are often mentioned as one of the main problems that couples who are having martial problems are encountering. Farrelly has claimed that a lack of regulation of internet casinos has resulted in a dramatic growth in incidents of problem gambling. And, although it may be obvious to some people out there, there is a definite correlation between problem gambling and marital difficulties.
Some of the specific issues that Farrelly mentioned when discussing marital problems include issues like infidelity, unlimited and uncontrolled gaming at online casinos and simply using the internet way too much on a daily basis. Farrelly has now become a staunch advocate of the effort to bring about an increase in regulation for online casino gaming since he sees that as one way that marriages can possibly be strengthened.
Of course on of the problems that many marriages have to confront at one point or another revolves around financial strife. And one of the key instigators of this is problem gambling which is able to quickly get out of control if there are no limitations or regulations in place to protect gamers and their loved ones.
