Underage Gambling Not Major Concern
Every so often new surveys and studies are conducted that involve the impact that online casinos and gambling activity have on society. According to a new survey that details parental concerns, parents are much more concerned with other factors and the lives of their children than developing an online casino gambling problem. This recent study was partially funded by the British Colombia lottery Corporation and so far the study showed that underage gamblers for the most part are more at risk of developing a problem with their gambling activity than adults.
Sometimes this impact can be difficult to decipher because when adults have brought problem gambling issues, they lose their wives and husbands or they get their homes taken away or they have to go bankrupt. Teenagers are not in the position to experience these types of losses.
Unfortunately at this point in time the survey indicated that parents are not altogether concerned with how much time there is children spend the online casinos. Most parents are more focused on her miscue his sexual behavior or drug and alcohol abuse as opposed to underage gambling. In fact, underage gambling ranks last on the list of concerns that parents have about their children.
This may come as somewhat of a shock to people because it seems that Internet casino gambling always comes up as one of the main fears that parents have when it comes to the activities their child will engage in, but apparently that is not the case. It’ll be interesting to see if parents take note of the findings from this recent study to inform their parenting strategies in the future.
