PPA Defends Gamer Rights

The Poker Players Alliance has been extremely busy recently in trying to preserve the rights of those citizens in the United States who wish to patron online casinos and poker sites.

This has become an intense job with the threats from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act looming in the background at every turn. Granted, there is now some optimism running through the veins of these freedom fighters ever since Representative Barney Frank has been on the job to try to get the UIGEA repealed and to try to get something more rational, effective and logical to be put in its place instead.

The Poker Players Alliance have been protesting the seizures that the United States Attorney’s Office recently conducted. The office went so far as to seize bank accounts that have been connected to funds associated with online casinos and casino players. This has been a tremendously challenging battle and for now, it seems that there is no end in sight.

The PPA has tried to give online casino and poker fans some piece of mind by assuring them that their money will still be safe and protected when it is being held at online poker and casino gambling sites, but no one really knows that for sure at this point.

The government will try to take advantage of any existing ambiguities that are present in the language of the UIGEA to lay the smack down on casino and poker gamblers across the country. This could have a potentially horrific effect ton the internet gambling industry in American if players become fearful enough to worry about the security of their gaming funds, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
