Poor Q2 Showing For Cryptologic

While many operators of online casinos have been experiencing a great deal of success in terms of building up revenue, the same cannot be said for all operators and software suppliers. It seems that cryptologic has been taking a major hit during the second quarter of the year 2010 in terms of record losses. The company experienced a great deal of financial decline during the past quarter. Overall, the economic recession and the blistering impact of people having less disposable income to spend at their favorite online casino operations has resulted in a dramatic shift in the number of industry-leading online software developers throughout the world.

For Cryptologic, the first quarter of 10 saw a loss valued at $3.4 million. While that was a relatively poor performance compared to years past, the second quarter was super dismal. And astonishingly bleak well $.7 million was lost during this past quarter. This poor performance left one of the top executives at Cryptologic looking for a new job. The CEO managed to make the difficult decision to walk away from his position after the second-quarter figures were released to the general public. The chairman of Cryptologic has taken on the CEO position on an interim basis.

It will be interesting to see if Cryptologic is able to produce some sort of majestic financial recovery in the weeks and months to come so that it can rise to the top of the world of online casinos once again. Not everyone participating in the realm of internet gambling is given many chances to redeem themselves. Hopefully things will come together in the near future.
