Jadestone Brings Back Backgammon

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

If you are an online casino player who pays frequent visits to NordicBet, PAF or Bwin, take a moment to sit back and count your blessings. This factor alone lets you get on the inside track to check out the latest and greatest Backgammon network that has been produced by the Swedish online gaming solutions company Jadestone Networks. Coming later on this spring, the new Backgammon solution is sure to prove highly popular among people who enjoy the traditional games. This is one of those games out there that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But for the fans of online casinos who do love Backgammon, they love it with every fiber of their being.

You may already be familiar with the name Jadestone because they are the folks who have brought out such successful online casino ventures as DiceArena and GamArea. Those have achieved a respectable level of success in the casino world as multi-player gaming networks. After some careful research, it was found that casino players would be very open and willing to get their hands on some Backgammon online action. And Jadestone, known among industry insiders for their swift and innovative strategies, wasted no time leaping at the opportunity to see where it could take the company. Obviously, we are still a ways off from knowing for sure how this venture will perform but the outlook is incredibly positive.

The Backgammon solution they have designed is packed with sweet features like the ability to play in heads-up competitions and also some great tournaments. This will all be possible right from the gate, as soon as the system gets launched in the spring. For people who love playing their hearts out at online casinos, this development could change the way they think about Backgammon for good.

Texas May Legalize Poker

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

It seems that despite the rulings that have been handed down by several different judges throughout the United States recently, you can still run the risk of being taken to court if you get caught playing poker for money. A bunch of dudes laughing, snacking and smoking cigars while sitting around a table enmeshed in a game of poker seems like some sort of culturally iconic image in America. How ironic is it then that this is against the law? But there is hope to be found in this situation. More and more people are coming to believe that poker is indeed a game of skill as opposed to a game of luck or chance. This means that in order to succeed at poker, you must employ a deft combination of skill and strategy to get the better of your opponents. Just ask any fan of online casinos and they will tell you that that is the absolute truth.

Right now in Texas it is technically still a legal act to play casino poker with people while betting with money or just playing for the fun of it. However, if the situation develops into one where the house takes a rake or a cut of the money laid down, it turns into an illegal act immediately. But now fans of online casinos and poker rooms can take heart in the fact that there is a new bill that has been proposed that could change all of this.

It would make it so that poker licensed could be granted to decent and worthy establishments even if there is a house involved that will take a cut from all the money that goes through the casino and poker games. The only catch is that the money that the house earns will be taxed. And politicians are very excited about this prospect because taxing this money could potentially generate a great deal of money for the state of Texas.

Bead Beat Jackpots Ease The Pain

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

While players who come onto online casinos are obviously in it to win the big jackpots, many of us are often not the fortunate ones who get to walk away with the big wad of cash in our pockets. However, there is an incredible aspect to the way the business of online casinos works and it revolves around the bad beat jackpot. If you come really close to winning big and then lose it in a tremendously painful way, there could be a cash reward for your hardship. While the real winner of the competition will still take home a much larger portion of money, sometimes the bad beat jackpot winner can still leave the scene with a respectable quantity of cash in his or her possession.

When the bad beat jackpot climbs higher and higher, the number of contenders rises accordingly and it can begin to grow into a rather competitive situation in which many different online casino players are hoping against hope that they can wind up with the baddest bad beat. If you are curious about how the bad beat jackpot scene plays out, you can just pay a visit to one of many online casinos and poker rooms such as UltimateBet and Absolute Poker.

Some casino players have managed to buy their dream car or put their children through college or payoff the mortgage on their home. In this troubling economy, this kind of money can sure come in handy. Other casino players choose to buy up some snazzy piece of realty or take a journey around the entire world. The way the bad beat jackpot works is very similar to that of regular style Texas Hold’em poker. The only difference is an additional jackpot.

Full Tilt Poker Delivers Sweet Weekend Contest

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

If you have been searching high and low for some great online poker action at one of your favorite online casinos in the business, you need to do yourself a favor and head on over to Full Tilt Poker. This weekend has been an incredible time for online casino and poker players since the site has given their customers an opportunity to go for the glory and vie for some $75,000 worth of prizes and hard old cash. This is all part of a stellar Sit And Go Madness promotion. This is one of those incredibly tempting deals that no one in their right mind would be able to reject or ignore.

It kicked off on Friday afternoon and ran all the way through until Sunday afternoon. There were four separate categories for buy-ins. They varied in price quite a bit. The cheapest option began at one dollar and he most expensive buy-in was a solid fifty bucks.  The competition was divided by event organizers from Full Tilt Poker into 24-hour blocks of time. For each one there was a leader board for every one of the four groups for each chunk of time. And the best seven contenders from every one of the four different groups would be able to score a cash prize after a two-hour–long block. This is one of those special competitions that online casinos can bring and it is fruitless to try to resist the temptation to get in on the action.

For the first of the four groups, the cheaper stakes group, the top competitor will earn twenty bucks and the last group with the highest stakes will see their top player walk away with a sweet $500 prize.

PokerStars Player Beats Tremendous Odds

Friday, March 27th, 2009

If you have been chomping at the bit to get in on some fabulous sit-n-go poker gaming, you just missed out on one incredible opportunity. It turns out that a player named Boku87, with the stakes set crazy high managed to turn $100 into a cool $10,000. And he did it all through a series of terrific sit-n-go games. This magical event took place on one of the top online casinos in the business, PokerStars. This deal has to go down as one of the most sensational proposition wagers in the entire history of Internet gambling.  The rules of the bet indicated that the player would be able to come out victorious on the bet if he could earn $9,900 by using only his initial $100 stake. Also he was relegated to playing only at casino games that had a maximum buy-in that was less than $16. Those are some intense rules and guidelines but by some miracle or turn of tremendous luck, the player pulled it off and scored a huge financial win.

This is the kind of event that causes big buzz among online casinos. When players make amazing comebacks or win some great prize despite all the substantial odds stacked against them, it makes for some great free publicity. For this bet, the player was given only 15 short days to achieve his goal. In addition, he was given the restriction of not being able to play at 90  and 180-player tables.

This challenge ended up being documented on a webcam for all the online casino voyeurs out there. A handful of players took advantage of this bet to wager their own money on it. They put down a total of somewhere near $40,000 against Boku87, much to their remorse when he ended up making good on his bet. The player had odds of 3/1 with PokerStars.

Poker Player Ends Dry Spell For American Players

Friday, March 27th, 2009

For some time the lack of any jackpot wins at online casinos within the United States has seemed as bleak as our nation’s economy has been. And let me tell you – that is pretty bleak! The weeks are dry as the Saharan Desert in terms of casino players getting lucky with some jackpot hits here and there. Luckily, there was one online casino that managed to end the dry spell in a big way. Run on software provided by Vegas Technologies, the site that brought the big win to end the slump was Island Stud Poker. As a matter of fact, the player was able to take home a solid $69,450. Now that sounds like a pretty profitable weekend to me.

Players in the United States have not been having much luck overall when it comes to scoring big jackpots at online casinos. With many popular online gambling sites no longer accepting American players for fear of the wrath of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, there are fewer and fewer places where American players can go and relax and play their favorite casino games. Luckily for them, there are still a few here and there that have remained faithful to the United States gambling aficionado demographic. What would we ever do without their support?

When a big win like this comes around, it lightens everyone’s spirits and also gives other players hope that there may be a jackpot out there waiting for them. It is as if the business gets a jumpstart or a rush of adrenaline and suddenly everyone is playing their hearts out hoping against hope that a big financial prize will come their way.

Boss Media Gets 7 New Poker Sites

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

While the impressive and expansive reach that online casino software developer Boss Media has wowed people within the industry for some time, it appears that the hold the company has on the market is about to get a whole lot bigger. They have recently announced that one of the biggest independent poker networks out on the market these days is coming out with a staggering addition of seven different and entirely separate sites. Sometime late last year, the folks at Cryptologic got in on a deal to combine their substantial online poker business interests with the Boss Media’s International Poker Network. In terms of movers and shakers within the business of online casinos, it doesn’t get much bigger than that.

The goal behind this merger is to lower the costs that the company incurs while at the same time upping the ante in terms of player liquidity. Several former Cryptologic sites have recently made the shift over to the International Poker Network over the course of the last few days. Those sites include ClassicPoker.com, ExtremePoker.com, BetJacks.com, DTDPoker.com, Opoker.com, ParBet.com and InterPoker.com. That is quite a line-up of popular online casinos and poker rooms that have made the leap to a new network. Boss Media’s plan with all of this is to provide their comprehensively managed poker solution to the seven different sites. That solution will be based on the company’s poker software that they possess through a partnership with sister company St Minver Limited.

With all of these new poker licensees, the company officials are very confident that they will see a huge jump in player liquidity and that will make this deal a complete and total success in the minds of everyone involved. With their already solid base of casino and poker customers, this will just make everything that much better and more effective.
