Aussie Takes Top Prize at Aussie Millions Event

Against all odds, the big winner of this year’s Aussie Millions turned out to be from the land down under. A player named Stewart Scott worked his way through hundreds of talented online casino and poker players to win the top prize of the competition. He managed to take down a number of professional players on his way toward victory including Gus Hansen and Lee Nelson. But, he wasn’t the first Australian winner for this event. Back in 2006 another Aussie was luck and clever enough to claim the top spot.

Still, he gave an impressive performance that place him among the ranks of players who are worth watching at any online casinos or online poker rooms they may choose to visit. Another past Australian winner (2005) named Joe Hachem went so far as to request that the trophy should find its home for the year on Australian soil. Everyone who loves great action at online casinos and online poker rooms would have been impressed by his commanding performance. After taking the chip lead on Day 4 of the tournament, he never gave it up once for the whole rest of the competition. At the final table, he managed to outmaneuver two very solid and respected casino players named Barny Boatman and Richard Ashby to win the first prize.

Toward the tournament’s final moments, Scott went heads-up against Peter Rho. Going in he had a sizeable chip lead but he still stayed steady and managed not to commit any grievous errors. And the cards he held in his winning hand were remarkably similar to those that Gus Hansen won with last year – a pair of aces. As far as casino and poker competition goes, its hard to beat the fierce action they get at Aussie Millions.
